When it comes to laser hair removal, at Zena Esthetique, we have been using and trusting Cutera technology for over 15 years. In 2019, we equipped the clinic with their newest laser, the Cutera xeo®. Just like the older CoolGlide® generation, this laser is a medical type one.
Aside from its clearly improved performance, medical type means; it can be used safely on all parts of the body (except eyebrows) and, it can be used on all skin types.
We would like to stress the fact that not all laser hair removal treatments offered at this time can safely serve dark or tanned customers.
HOW TO PREPARE
Cleaning and shaving the treated area is mandatory before the session. Shaving should preferably be done the day before treatment to avoid possible irritation.
DURING TREATMENT
The skin having been shaved and cleansed before the session, the technician will start by adjusting the device according to your skin type and the density of your hair. The technician will then pass the Nd handpiece; YAG on the skin, to cover the area targeted for the session. Please expect tolerable pinching when passing the laser. No local anesthesia or pain reliever is needed.
WHAT TO EXPECT
After each visit, a visibly significant decrease in the amount of hair on the treated areas. However, it is necessary to respect the prescribed rhythm when making an appointment in order to obtain better results. It's nice to add that the majority of our clients will see the first results after their first session.
HOME CARE
If necessary, you can always apply a cold compress to eliminate any discomfort after a session, but only if you feel the need. Any sensation will eventually pass quickly after the session. Also, be sure never to wax during the period between each session, shaving is recommended if you want to experience the best possible results.
WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO RESPECT YOUR APPOINTMENT DATES
Any laser hair removal treatment works best within a six-week appointment interval period. In this way, we respect the hair growth cycle and make sure to maximize the results especially during the first treatments. Please keep in mind that results may vary from person to person, but that said, all of our clients experience satisfactory results.
