HOW DOES A CHEMICAL PEEL WORKS?
The skin consists of two layers: the epidermis and the dermis. The epidermis is the thin layer in contact with the outside world: it is fine because its thickness is only 0.02 mm on the face. The peeling consists in applying to the skin a chemical substance, to cause limited and controlled destruction of the epidermis or of the superficial layers of the dermis. The purpose of this destruction is to obtain a regeneration of the destroyed layers and stimulate the production of elastic fibers and collagen in the underlying layer to densify the skin.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A SESSION OF CHEMICAL PEEL?
No preparation is necessary before the session, but we strongly recommend a good cleansing and increased hydrations a few days before the treatment, in order to better prepare the skin for the treatment. During the session, the skin is carefully cleansed. A medical peel suitable to your skin type is then applied for a few minutes and carefully rinsed.
The treatment can last between 30-45 min.
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER A SESSION OF CHEMICAL PEEL?
After a peel, the skin may be red and in the days that follow. The skin will fluff or even peel depending on the intensity of the peel. No worry’s this is part of the rejuvenation process. Sun protection with a total screen is essential for the following 15 days. It is A MUST to avoid sun exposure during the month following the peel.

WHO CAN RECEIVE A CHEMICAL PEEL?
Contrary to what many believe, ALL skin types are good candidates for chemical peels treatments.
The only difference is according to the luster of your skin, different types of products are used:
- Soft peeling with fruit acids (glycolic acid peel): It is ideal for dull skin and wrinkled face, the irregularities of the skin, oily skin, acne pimples and blemished skin. This treatment improves skin condition visibly and without side effects. This peel penetrates deep enough into the skin to produce strong results while remaining a superficial product. Glycolic acid is a non-toxic and non-allergenic substance, which gives your face a luminous tone and a healthier-looking skin.
- Hyaluronic acid peel (HA): Hyaluronic acid is a highly effective agent for skin hydration. Its special ability is to attract and bind water molecules that are used to moisturize the skin and keep the elasticity of dermal and epidermal tissue. Being a preferred treatment against wrinkles, hyaluronic acid is proven to stimulate the activity of fibroblasts and elastin production, allowing the skin to regain its tone.
- Skin recovery treatment: Effective treatment against light to moderate photo-aging, acne and oily skin. This treatment is a combination of acids with powerful keratolytic and antimicrobial action. This formula favors the dermo-epidermal restructuring for a healthy skin while increasing mitosis of keratinocytes, fibroblast activity and decreasing pigmentation.
- Caviar Detox treatment: This formula contains nourishing elements providing a detoxifying effect for photo-aged skin. The panthenol contained in this treatment helps to rehydrate the skin while maintaining its softness and elasticity.
